Powered by innovation, Garuda’s first Urban Concept vehicle marked a historic milestone for the team—becoming a true symbol of perseverance and technological progress. Officially launched in 2013, the vehicle laid the foundation for Garuda UNY’s journey in sustainable mobility. Just two years later, it proudly competed at the KMHE 2015, showcasing the team’s growing expertise on the national stage. The breakthrough came in 2018, when the Urban Concept secured a remarkable victory in London, earning international recognition and solidifying its place as an enduring symbol of the team’s spirit and excellence.

Powered by gasoline, Simbok (2019) was a one-year special edition vehicle that carried the spirit of innovation from its predecessor, Simbah. With a newly refined aerodynamic body and improved design, Simbok delivered lower resistance on the track, achieving a milestone record of 380 km/liter. However, its heavy body became both a challenge and an inspiration—paving the way for the birth of Anak Lanang and Anak Wedok, two successors that carried forward Garuda’s pursuit of sustainable performance.

Powered by gasoline, our vehicle achieved an extraordinary energy efficiency of 544.2 km/L—setting a benchmark in sustainable performance. Our latest milestones include securing 3rd place in the Urban Concept Battery Electric Mileage category with a record of 212 km/kWh and clinching 2nd place at the Shell Eco-marathon Regional Championship in Qatar 2025. The team’s best record to date was set in 2022, marking our all-time highest efficiency achievement.

An extraordinary energy efficiency fuel car, using waste from the sugar industry. it competed in the national competition two years in a row and won the gold medal. it can cover half of Java on just one liter of ethanol.

The 700cc naturally aspirated engine powered a high-performance student-built vehicle at Student Formula Japan 2019, demonstrating innovative engineering and precision in automotive design.

Harnessing electric energy with the advanced Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) technology, our vehicle emerged as the Overall Champion at the Formula Electric Student Competition 2022 in Jakarta—setting a new standard for innovation and performance in electric mobility.

Our ultra-efficient electric prototype excelled at the Shell Eco-marathon 2024 – Regional Asia, reaching a peak performance of 408 km/kWh. Engineered with a streamlined, low-drag design, the vehicle showcased cutting-edge energy conservation and aerodynamic precision on the track.
